Consider this my first attempt at blogging for my band site. I guess you could say that I’m a newbie at this sort of thing. Not sure what I’m supposed to say and I’m not even sure anyone will read this. I suppose, I’ll use this as a tool for connecting with friends, fans, and anyone that’ll lend me their ears. I’ll treat it as a diary of sorts (though I can’t promises that I’ll update it as frequently as one might expect with that sort of thing). It’ll give you all a sneak peak into my thoughts, my feelings -the ups and downs that I encounter on my never-ending musical journey. Ready, set, go…

This week promises to be one HELL of a fun but busy week for me. At the moment, I’m playing in a total of 8 bands (I’m the leader of 2 of these bands) and I’m doing my best to balance my part-time job, my lessons, rehearsals, gigs and personal time to practice/write/rest. It ain’t easy. Today is Tuesday, April 5, 2011 and here’s a look at what this week looks like for me: gig Wednesday, gig Thursday, gig Friday, gig Saturday, gig Sunday, gig Tuesday (This doesn’t include rehearsals, part-time job, lessons, and all that). Madness I tell ya. My schedule doesn’t allow for much time down time but I feel blessed to be surrounded by such talented musicians, such supportive friends, such loving family. Would it not be for this incredible team of people around me, I doubt I’d have the strength to manage through the “Go! Go! Go!” lifestyle that I lead.

I’m so happy that I’ve discovered my ability to create…to improvise. As a child I was certainly more of an introvert but, through music, dance, and poetry I discovered the ability to share emotions that I was incapable of expressing through words alone. Aside from serving as a great creative outlet all of this has helped me develop into a more confident individual. I’ve learned to communicate with others better (verbally, not just through the caveman-esque style of grunting and pointing at objects, like I used to) and I FEEL happier. In fact, if I had to summarize my general feelings at the moment, I’d use the word “happy.” I’m soooo happy to feel like I’m growing (AKA- getting my a#$ kicked by “LIFE”). I’m soooo happy to be doing what I love. I’m soooo happy to be surrounded by some genuinely GOOD people. Playing in this band truly excites me. You know how sometimes you can just TELL that something great is about to happen…yeah…

Nali, I don't know how you do it bro, but you are my hero! I'm always amazed at how much stuff you're able to do, and do well. That's why I admire and respect you so much. You're one of the few hard working, genuin, talented and kind people that I've had the pleasure of knowing in my life. Don't let anyone or anything change that! And keep up the good work. You're doing a hell of a job with your bands. Peace!

Nice job on the front page! I particularly like your naked picture, though it should show more skin when you click on it...lmao. Thanks for bringing back the performance dates. Take care bro!
